  4. Well, here are my comments :)

    ROMANTIC STORIES:
    • Mikes’ “Loves Moves the World and my Shoes”. Mike shows us that when someone is in love just being near our beloved’s house increases our heart beats gives us full satisfaction.
    • Angel’s “Spanish Girl”. You were lucky you found the girl again! Next time don’t miss the chance and ask for the phone number right away.
    • Alejandro’s “A Kiss”. Uao!! I had never heard such an exciting, detailed story about a kiss. Who said men were not romantic?
    • Karina’s “He’s my Best Friend, Isn’t he?” If this is a question the answer is obvious, he is more than a friend. A story of love and friendship. The first love is always so memorable. But, are you still with him?
    • Esmeralda’s “Love never ends…Does it?” You had a special way to catch the reader’s attention but you never actually said what was weird with that boy or with that relationship. I think you kept the best of the story for yourself and you left us wanting to know more about it.
    • Susana’s “Friendship or Love?” a sad, heart-breaking story of an unrequited love. I’m sure your friend was only teasing you and the argument of not wanting to lose your friendship was only an excuse. By the way, the quotation was great!

    THOUGHT-PROVOKING STORIES:
    • Carolina’s “An Unexpected Reconciliation”. I could not find a category for this story but I enjoyed it a lot. The reconciliation moment in a love relationship is even sweeter than the relationship itself. Your boyfriend really cared about you and the quotation fit the story so well.
    • Angeles’ “What’s Love… Freedom and Wisdom”. I must confess the story was surprising at the end. The question to reflect upon is good if we look at the context it was in, but to be honest I did not clearly understand it. Did the girl marry her prince?
    • Omar’s “Revolution”, a really reflective, educational, touching story which invites us to become better people. When we are teenagers we are always looking for our self-identity and some times this search takes some time and makes us make mistakes. But the important thing is to learn from them, the way Omar did it.
    • Elizabeth’s “The Importance of Parents”. A sweet story that shows us our parents will always be there for us.
    • Paola’s “Nobel Prize”. A long, detailed and educational story, full of frustrations and discoveries.

    FANTASY STORIES:
    • Aristides’ “A Tree Family”. Who could have imagined a tree like a whole family? The comparison of families’ behavior with the branches of a tree was original. Your story also reflected human nature. Good story!
    • Mauro’s “The Magic Pencil”. A really creative story with a moral, I would have never thought about a magic pencil. I liked it a lot. You should write tales more often.
    • Carlos’ “Trip to Aztlán”. It’s nice to find people interested and knowledgeable in our prehispanic history.
    • Ernesto’s “Finding Google”. I loved it! I could imagine the fish bowl and its inhabitants and it has a surprise element since you made us believe someone had eaten Google. I wanted more!

    ADVENTURE STORIES:
    • Eduardo’s “A Soccer Story”. It must have been really exciting to be recognized by everyone there!
    • Aranza’s “Go, Go! The Train is Coming!”. I guess having a train passing right in front of you when you don’t expect it must be quite an experience. However, you could have added further details to engage the reader.
    • Daniel’s “The Unknown Friend”. What a story! How come three guys did not notice anything?! And the poor guy from Cuernavaca must have been so scared too. You were all really lucky it all ended in nice friendship.

    FUNNY STORIES:
    • Ana Laura’s “Surviving in Mexico City”. It was a funny story of all what can happen to someone moving from a small to a big city. Try to keep awake on buses, girl!
    • Sergio’s “Toothache”. I have never met someone who hated dentists so much. We all do, but you panic in front of them. I think you should give them a chance, poor doctor he did not deserve a bite.
    • Marco’s “The Burglar’s Friend”. How could something like this happen? Was it a real story? How old was your cousin?

    ORIGINAL STORIES:
    • Luis’ “An October’s Cold Night”. Definitely one of the best told and creative stories, very exciting and engaging. You are gifted at writing Luis!
    • Aarón’s “Mortally”. A quite different story, as it is said, for “minds beyond Mikey Mouse”. It’s well-told and it makes the reader come back to check if we have understood. Was the character an schizophrenic?
    • Mayra’s “The Best Friend in the World”. It’s a friendship story but with some kind of mystery between what was happening between them.
    • Edith’s “From the War to the World”. This was a never ending story because whenever the reader thought the story was going to end a new character or a new problem came up so the story always went on. Edith you definitely have a lot of imagination. I think the story also has a little bit of your personality: your characters, the places you mention, etc. That is great and it is much the purpose of writing, don’t you agree?

    Romantic.
Karina’s “He’s my Best Friend, Isn’t he?”.- It is a cute story, I liked it because it is a real experience and it's always good to know a little about our classmates. Thought-provoking.

    Adventure.
Daniel’s “The Unknown Friend”.- I think it is a great story, the first time i read it i couldn't believe that happened to him... it seemed like a movie!! It is a funny one, and definitly a spooky adventure.

  14. All stories are great. I really enjoyed!! Well, I made some different categories, maybe you are not agree with me. Let me know if I have to take a specific group of categories.

    Romantic story
There are a lot of stories about love, but i f you write with heart its better. I Think that Karina’s “He’s my Best Friend, Isn’t he?” and Esmeralda’s “Love never ends…Does it?” reflects their own experience and their stories are very clear, sincere and transparent.
I liked Mikes’ story “Loves Moves the World and my Shoes”. Its clear, funny and very, very real… well I speak for myself. I remembered my junior high school and the exiting moment when I passed in front Alexandra´s house.. But that’s another story.
    I select Mike´s story.

    Stories about history
In this category I put Edith and Carlos stories. Both are great. I didn´t know nothing about Moldavia, so thanks Edith to make me read about it. Your story is very original, and I think that is like a short novel. You most try to write with more detail. There are a lot of things (war, friendship, ), figures (Train, Sassa,Blacky, Anabella), places (from Moldavia to Colombia!!!) Again very original!! Congratulations.
I liked Trip to Aztlan, sometimes I think in how mexicas or Aztecs lived 700 years ago and the wonderful land used to be Mexico. However, I select Edith story.

    Erotic story
A Kiss and “the best friend in the world” are both excellent erotic stories. If I had to choose, i would select Alejandro´s story because it reflects what a man feel when he kiss a beautiful girl.

    Suspense story (or a thriller)
An October's Cold Night by Luis, it’s a well done story, well written story. In this category I put too Aron´s story “Mortally”. I have to admit that this story was more difficult to read and understand than the rest. My vote is for Luis.

    Funny story
Six stories I consider in this group: Eduardo’s “A Soccer Story”, Aranza’s “Go, Go! The Train is Coming!”, Daniel’s “The Unknown Friend”, Ana Laura’s “Surviving in Mexico City”, Sergio’s “Toothache”, Marco’s “The Burglar’s Friend”.
It´s very difficult but I select the innocence inside Marco´s story. It’s a short story with a unhappy end but nobody resulted injured!!

    Short Tales
Ernesto, Aristides and me are considered in this category. If I had to select one I selected……….mmm..

Well, i will return tomorrow. It´s time to sleep!!

    Regards
    Mauro

  16. for the best romance story my vote is for: "the love moves the world and my shoes". I think that no other title would be better for the story.

Revolution for me is the most reflective story because of the topic and the strange feeling of identification this story is really good.

    Fantasy.
I think "the magic pencil" is the easiest story to read. We don't need a lot of time to understand this story, and if we read the story for a little child, he will pay attention and he understand the message.

    Funny.
“Surviving in Mexico City”, is the funniest because of the way that the story is write and the daily humor.

    Adventure.
"The unknow friend" is my favorite in this category, well structured story and good end.

    Original.
"From the War to the World" CONGRATULATIONS! this is the best story, characters, situations, places, really good.

Thought-provoking: some of this stories didn´t seem me good, but I must recognize that this is a hard category because its difficult to communicate a moral feeling with a stories, but I think that "An unexpected reconciliation" is the best because I had a situation like that and I like it.

Fantasy: I like "magic pencil" because it reflects the way how people are. It’s a short story but really good.

Adventure: I think that my story is the best because it is funny and real story, the other stories are good but I didn´t like it like mine. So my vote is for "the unknown friend"

Funny: the story of Ana Laura make laugh because it reminds me how is my girlfriend, she is always lost and sometimes she can make lost, so my vote is for "surviving in mexico city"

  24. Hi everybody!!
    My votes are for:

    • I liked LOVE NEVER ENDS..DOES IT?, because I felt something like this for someone in thje past. And the story is original, but this story was –or is, I don`t know- truth.
    • I chose REVOLUTION because I discovered new something about Omar and his feelings. I agree with him, the way of the true revolution begin with ourself and our feelings and atitudes.
    • I liked FINDING GOOGLE because is the unique story –If I don`t make a mistake- about animals and is was funny and original. This story –for me- has a moral.
    • I liked THE UNKNOWN FRIEND because it was incredible coincidence about friends. I think reliable is very important in the relation between society but in this case in the beginning didn´t exist but after yes.
    • I liked SURVIVING IN MEXICO CITY because it was funny story. But this story shows the problems for people arrive from other city or town. It is very difficult for them –I suppose that. But with the time this become a routine.
    • I lked AN OCTOBER´S COLD NIGHT because it has romanticism, mistery and nostalgia. I like style´Luis in his story. And it´s obvious that he tried to do the best effort.

  26. Hi!
I really enjoy a lot of stories! The selection of only 6 stories was so difficult!

    These are my votes:
In the category of romantic stories, I select Alejandro’s one: “A kiss” because additionally to the story, he show us what he felt. It’s amazing the way in which he describes a moment! I mean a lot of details and sensations! There are no much people that feel in the way he does. That’s great!

For the thought-provoking, I select Omar’s story. I really like the topic, it is full of values! Is very interesting the kind of relation with his family, especially with his sister, how she try to teach him values, the process to understand the relation between the ideology and actions of her, and finally the reflection that he did, that was very good!

For the category of Fantasy stories I choose “Finding google” by Ernesto. It was also very funny and made me think that Google had been swallowed!... I like the way in which he narrate the story.

About the Adventure stories, I select “The unknown friend” . I really love this story! It’s incredible and funniest! Those situations aren’t very common! First, because Diego shouldn’t went into the car; then because of they took him to his uncle’s house and he invited to ate and finally because actually they are good friends! …Daniel is so lucky because that could be dangerous!

In the category of funny stories I select “the Burglar’s friend”, but that’s very sad! Poor kid! Because I imagine a very young child, isn’t he??? That really happened??? :s

For original stories I select An October’s cold night!. I really like this! That’s very interesting! It catch me during all the story and has a really good ending!
