Swine Flu...Oups! A-N1H1 Flu

Dear students,
I hope all of you are fine and in good health. Since we will have very little time for speaking activities in class after this contingency plan. I think we should use our class blog for free "speaking" activities. So, come on! Let's exchange views and experiences about what we have gone through during the last 10 days. What did you do? What do you think? What have you read? Let's gain time and discuss about this real life problem.

Around the World

Some of you were nervous, others were more natural; some memorized, others improvised, but all of you did your best and had a chance to express yourself. Your presentations were so creative, rich in information and the best, you naturally incorporated the unit content in your speeches. Well done!

Aristides Globe Award. And the Winner is...

Congratulations to all of you for making this learning experience possible! Even our camera men said they had had a lot of fun in the “Aristides Globe Award Ceremony”. A very special recognition to the award committee, you definitely deserve a prize for your creativity, spontaneity and enthusiasm. Remember ““Winning is important but what brings real joy is the experience of being fully engaged in whatever you are doing”.

Welcome to your class blog

Dearest students,
Welcome to your class blog! I have been using blogs in my English classes as an extension of our classroom. Blogs have become an important space to listen to each other. Large classes make it sometimes difficult for everyone to have a chance to express him/herself. So, let’s take advantage of this blog as a space to say all we did not have time to say in class, to express opinions and to share views.
Participation in this blog is another way of participation, another way of using your English and a way to expose yourself to the target language. Remember 90% of your learning depends on you rather than on your teacher or on the few hours a week you come to class.
Let's get started by sending your impressions about your group and the things we have done and/or learned in class so far? Say what you have or haven´t enjoyed.
I’m eager to hear from you!
